SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage design projects from concept development through to final production, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, R&D, product management, and manufacturing, to define project requirements and objectives.
  3. Conduct research and feasibility studies to explore new technologies, materials, and design concepts that enhance product performance and functionality.
  4. Develop detailed design specifications, sketches, and CAD models using industry-standard software tools (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  5. Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  6. Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities, working closely with technicians and external partners as needed.
  7. Lead design reviews and technical discussions to solicit feedback, identify risks, and make informed design decisions.
  8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  9. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to address technical challenges and achieve project goals.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation of design activities, including drawings, specifications, test reports, and design change documentation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a design engineer, with at least5 years of experience in product design and development.
  3. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for design and analysis.
  4. Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in designing complex mechanical and/or electrical systems, components, and assemblies.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
  8. Effective leadership abilities, with experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
