ASSISTANT MANAGER – AUTOMATION

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing automation projects from inception to completion.
  2. Assist in defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure alignment and effective project execution.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  6. Assist in managing project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to procure necessary equipment, materials, and services for automation projects.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the project implementation process.
  9. Lead and mentor team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
  10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation processes, systems, and workflows.
  11. Develop and maintain documentation, including project plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  12. Support the Manager in stakeholder communication, reporting, and presentations on project status and achievements.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in automation engineering or a related role, with at least 8 years of experience.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, robotics, and control systems.
  4. Previous experience in project management or leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  7. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in automation and manufacturing.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Leadership qualities such as accountability, adaptability, and resilience.
